LC26 EXC FULL DWARF SAMURAI SET

So the centerpiece of this kit is the chest. It is a chunky piece, much wider and fuller. It also boasts a belt which is part of it, making it longer and going over the upper thighs. This creates a long uniform shape that really sells the dwarven body proportions. To decorate this chest piece 4 faulds are glued on the bottom using hot glue and any non-elastic textile strip. You can glue them as high or as low as you want, making them more floppy or more stiff. This works wonderfully to cover up the thighs and flow nicely into shin guards. Also on the right side of the chest there is a hole (optional), you can use a bendy wire from any mythic legions packaging to thread trough it and attach the katana scabbard to the waistline. If you want a fancier solution – use a decorative thick thread. You can see how the chest performs in the photos. It also can use standard shoulder pads.

– The second piece are the shoulder pads. I wanted to make them versatile to move about as figure is posed. Using any elastic band or a hairband lets these floating shoulder pads to move out of the way or create interesting looks. By pushing them as high as possible to create the locked in head feel or pushing them back creating this cloak like visual.

– The headpiece mixes the Japanese style haircut (very deep scalp shave lines, bushy eyebrows and pointy moustache) with mutton chops and I love how it turned out. Grim face expression and skin texture really sells that hardened stoic veteran look.

– The tachi sword is a thicker bulkier brother of traditional katana, with a nice deep blood grove which is the right choice to withstand dwarven swings. The sheave works perfectly, weapon slides in well ensuring no paint rub.

– The shoes represent the traditional samurai sandal with nice fabric texture and the suneate style shin guards have a very nice pronounced knee guard. Bracers as well as most of the pieces of this kit feature hemp rope motives to ground it in samurai fantasy as well as some dwarven runes and coins here and there to emphasis dwarven culture and passion for material values. All parts adhere to the dwarf sizing of factory parts, so you will not end up with longer limbs making it look unbalanced and not dwarf like.
